PVC Cart

I have placed the pictures of my home made PVC cart below. I made this without using any plans. I think I have included enough pictures that you can probably make one yourself. I used 1-1/4 inch PVC pipe. The base is 24 inches wide and 32 inches long. I made the height pieces 7 inches making the measurement from bottom of the bottom pipe to the top of the top pipe 10 inches. All of this can be adjusted to any size you would like. The base can be bigger and the sides can be higher or lower.

Believe it or not, all three carts weight about the same.

The top railing and side height pieces can all be removed. You then end up with the bottom base with the pipes screwed on. The bottom pieces are glued together, but nothing above the bottom PVC pipe is glued.

The two cross pieces snap out. You can do this by cutting the Ts a little more than 1/2 way to allow the PVC pipes to snap in and out. The board that holds the plumbing metal pipes for the weights screws out which allows you to have a flat cart without the pipes in the center. I used thumb screws and T-nuts.

I have two little milk cans that fit over the weight pipes to hide the weights.

I used the new plastic spray paint for outdoor furniture. I bonds better to the PVC. They have matching colors for the wood.

If you would like any additional information, I will be glad to send it to you.
